We offer adult treatment near Springfield, exclusively for adults, ages 18+. At NFA, we provide our clients with intensive addiction treatment, a serene private campus, life skills training, nutritional programming, and many other features which are all aimed at giving our clients the tools needed to build a solid foundation for a lasting recovery.
At our adult treatment near Springfield, we have created a program that combines cutting-edge clinical programming with the tried and true recovery program of the 12 Steps. By integrating these exceptionally effective treatment methods, we are offering our clients the best opportunity to create a lasting change within themselves. Our clinical therapy will include individual therapy, therapeutic small process groups, specialty and experiential therapy groups, and motivational interviewing. We also take advantage of other treatment methods such as CBT and DBT modalities, and EMDR trauma therapy, whenever they are needed. These are all within the Stages of Change Model framework.
As stated, we also firmly believe in the power of the 12-Step program, as outlined in the book Alcoholics Anonymous. This text, often referred to as The Big Book, contains precise instructions on how to recover from the disease of addiction. There is no cure for addiction, but there is recovery from the mental obsession. Once the mental obsession has been removed, individuals are then able to focus on cleaning up the wreckage that a life of addiction has left in its wake. Individuals become both connected to and reliant upon a power greater than themselves and can begin building a life of purpose and service.
Often times individuals struggling with addiction have a secondary issue that is causing them grief, such as depression, anxiety, or bipolar disorder. Our adult treatment near Springfield has an expert team led by a psychiatric nurse practitioner, and the process is supported by master’s-level therapists, all well-versed in addiction treatment. This is our co-occurring disorder team, and these compassionate team members are dedicated to addressing any other issues our clients may be battling.
In addition, we also offer family members of our clients support, through our Family Services program led by a Family Relations Director. At New Freedom Academy, an adult treatment near Springfield, we strive to support clients’ families in any way we can.
