Some people are able to quit using drugs, or even moderate when they make an earnest attempt. However, it is extremely common for individuals to have a difficult or even seemingly impossible time recovering on their own. At New Freedom Academy, a Manchester adult drug treatment center, we help those individuals who are committed to changing their lives, but cannot do so on their own. By using an integrated treatment approach that combines a daily 12 -Step practice and cutting-edge clinical methods, we have created an intensive program that is both comprehensive and effective. Our Manchester adult drug treatment center is focused exclusively on adults, ages 18+. New Freedom Academy’s newly remodeled and updated facility is located in central New Hampshire, within the historic town of Canterbury.
As mentioned, NFA is a 12-Step centered program. Many treatment centers introduce clients to the idea of the 12 Steps, but New Freedom Academy takes it to another level. NFA wholeheartedly believe in the power and the process of the 12-Step program. By applying the steps, as outlined in the AA text, Alcoholics Anonymous, individuals are able to overcome the obsession to use drugs and drink. While this is huge, it is only the beginning. The 12 Steps provide individuals with a design for living that involves a life of serenity, purpose, and service.
NFA’s Manchester adult drug treatment center also applies an effective clinical program. Our master’s-level clinicians provides clients with our unique integrated treatment approach. New Freedom Academy clients will experience both individual therapy and therapeutic small process groups, specialty and experiential therapy groups, and motivational interviewing. In addition, our clinical approach includes therapy methods such as CBT and DBT modalities and EMDR trauma therapy, all within the Stages of Change Model framework. We are also pleased to let our clients and their loved ones know that we have a co-occurring disorders treatment team, which is led by a psychiatrist, direct care managed by a psychiatric nurse practitioner, and the process is supported by master’s-level therapists, all well-versed in addiction treatment. Many individuals with addiction problems also have some other issues going on, such as depression, bipolar disorder, and/or anxiety. The expert and compassionate staff at New Freedom Academy is dedicated to helping adults and addressing all forms of difficulties our clients might be going through, during their stay with us.
Clients at NFA will enjoy a private serene campus, a private chef/nutrition program, yoga and meditation groups, and life skills training.
